- Anodise biomedical grade titanium alloy to produce a photocatalytic titania coating
- Use doping to modify the properties and performance of these photocatalytic coatings
- To produce tunable microstructures to promote implant-tissue integration
- To activate the coating for photocatalytic self-disinfection

- Major review of photocatalytic materials, mechanisms, and system designs for air purification
- Effects of different dopants on performance were elucidated leading to identification of intervalence charge transfer and dopant-enhanced solubility and crystallisation mechanisms
