UNSW Vice-Chancellor Visits Vecor Labs to Explore Groundbreaking Clean Energy and Sustainable Materials Research

Last week, UNSW researchers from the NEMCAT Group and their industry partner Vecor Technologies had the privilege of hosting UNSW’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Attila Brungs, at the Vecor Labs@UNSW, showcasing 3 TRaCE Major R&D Projects that are shaping the future of clean energy and sustainable materials.

🔋 Sodium-ion batteries – Advancing next-gen sustainable energy storage beyond lithium.

🏗️ Fly ash project – Transforming industrial by-products into novel materials and products.

🌊 Hydrogen from seawater – Unlocking a renewable fuel source without freshwater constraints.

From lab to impact, these technologies are pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We look forward to seeing how the R&D Projects evolve and the impact they will make in the years ahead.
