Overview
Objectives
Overview
The project focusses on improving the environmental and energy-saving aspects of the brickmaking process by conducting quality assessment of existing products, determining causes of failures, and assisting in the development of new products with an environmental focus.
Objectives
- Assessment of raw material composition, quality, mineralogy for assessment of their use in the brickmaking process
- Development of novel room-temperature activated geopolymer compositions containing industrial by-products for cement replacement
- Development of products containing by-products from the brickmaking process for improved environmental sustainability
- Evaluation of mechanisms related to the failure of building products.
